Shambhala hit by thieves

Downtown Vernon's Shambhala Clothing Co. was broken into Saturday.

A downtown Vernon business was hit by thieves Saturday.

The window was smashed at Shambhala Clothing Co. (31st Street), a unique clothing, jewelry and accessory store, Saturday, April 2 at approximately 5:45 a.m. A thief made off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

The value of items stolen was more than $2,000, says RCMP spokesperson Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

There was no video surveillance available from the store but RCMP are investigating other possible surveillance options.

“We’re still canvassing for that,” said Noseworthy.
