Man smokes.

With B.C. Health Minister Terry Lake's recent announcement asking the province to look at raising the legal smoking age from 19 to 21, the Kelowna Capital News wanted to find out what local residents think.

Lake brought up the issue in a Tweet on Tuesday, after formally addressing the issue in a government news release on National Non-Smoking Week that kicked off Sunday.

In the U.S. both Hawaii and California already had a legal smoking age of 21.

With the prospect of this issue becoming a topic of discussion for the B.C. government the Kelowna Capital News decided to speak with residents about their thoughts on raising the legal age of smoking in the province.
