Conditions are getting better all of the time at Silver Star Mountain Resort.
Putnam Creek (Powder Gulch Express and Home Run Tee) opened Friday and Silverwoods came on stream Saturday, which means 100 per cent of the lift system is operational.
"We presently have 124 or 132 alpine runs open," said Brad Baker, operations director.
"The snow has been fantastic as is skiing and boarding."
There is currently a snow base of 123 centimetres at the Star.
"Dec. 16 is the first night of night skiing, and we will be having a little party for the grand opening of our new Tube Town Magic Carpet and Brewers Pond Base facility," said Baker.
"With the cold temperatures, the skating pond is also posed to open in the next couple of days."
