Slipping and sliding

Several Shuswap roads are reported to be very slippery in sections of several North Okanagan-Shuswap roads.

Drive BC says highway driving is a slippery affair in some areas of the Shuswap this morning.

It’s another day of slip-sliding on several area roads so be careful!

Early this morning Drive BC issued the following alerts:

• Highway 1 both directions – slippery sections from Sorrento to 11 kilometres west of Sicamous (51.4 km).

• Highway 6EW Both directions – slushy sections from junction with Highway 97, in Vernon to Coldstream (7.2 km).

• Highway 97 Both directions – slippery sections from Crystal Waters Road to 21 km south of Falkland (38.5 km).

• Highway 97A both directions – slippery sections from junction with Highway 97, in Vernon to Mara (45 km).

• Highway 97B both directions – slippery sections from junction with Highway 97A, in Enderby to 6 km south of junction with Highway 1 in Salmon Arm (8.3 km).

• Highway 97B Both directions – slippery sections 8 km north of junction with Highway 97A, in Enderby to junction with Highway 1, in Salmon Arm (6.3 km).
