Snow arrives in the valley-bottom

Winter has finally made an appearance in the valley-bottom.

Light snow is falling in Vernon and elsewhere in the North Okanagan Friday morning.

Environment Canada says two to four centimetres of snow could fall today, with wet snow ending at about midnight.

On Saturday, there is a 30 per cent chance of rain and the snow level will be at 800 metres.

As of Friday morning, Silver Star Mountain Resort had a snow base of 105 centimetres.
