Public assistance led to a stolen vehicle being recovered.
Vernon RCMP responded to Okanagan Landing Road, near Lakeshore Roa,d Sunday at about 1 p.m.
"We received multiple reports of erratic driving and it was determined the vehicle had been stolen," said Const. K.P. Sidhu.
The black SUV was eventually found abandoned and a suspect was arrested at a nearby residence.
The suspect is expected to appear in court.
In a separate incident, Vernon firefighters and RCMP responded to a rollover in the 5100 block of Silver Star Road at 2:21 a.m. Monday.
"It's nothing but a single motor vehicle accident and the occupant left the scene," said Sidhu, who anticipates the driver of the vehicle just went home and may still report the accident.
