UPDATE: 3:37 p.m.
Fire crews were quick to the scene of a blaze on Sanborn Street in Summerland, Tuesday afternoon.
Smoke could be seen rising from the area at about 3 p.m. Emergency crews blocked Sanborn while on scene.
The blaze may have started in a shed and then spread to several outbuildings on the property as well as the grass.
Large patches of burnt grass could be seen around the home.
Firefighters were able to douse the blaze before it spread to neighbouring properties.
District of Summerland officials were also on scene ensuring there was water and shade provided to the fire crews as temperatures reached more than 34 C.
It’s unclear at this time how the fire started.
