Two suspects arrested in connection with a Vernon bank robbery have been remanded in custody.

The pair, a man and a woman, were arrested following a robbery at the Shops at Polson Park’s Royal Bank branch on July 28.

Trafton Michael Zakis, 39, of Lake Country, has been charged with robbery.

Stacey Joy Lavalee, 33, of no fixed address, is charged with obstruction.

Both will remain in custody and appear via video in Vernon Provincial Court on Aug. 17.

Vernon RCMP are continuing to investigation possible links between the July 28 robbery and an incident at the same bank July 22.
