A quick test drive left a local driver with some explaining to do after getting the vehicle impounded Friday night.
“An individual was doing 130 kilometres an hour in a 60 zone on Westside Road,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson. “He was testing a vehicle he was thinking of buying.”
The driver, a 23-year-old North Westside resident, had the vehicle impounded for seven days. It is believed the vehicle was a friend or family member’s.
The impound was one of five in the last week (one of which was for alcohol). There were also four 90-day immediate roadside prohibitions.
