Thousands without power in Vernon

Vehicle crashes into hydro pole, cutting off power

More than 4,000 Vernon are in the dark.

A power pole was struck in the Okanagan Landing area, cutting off power.

Residents in the Commonage, Mission Hill, South Vernon and Okanagan Landing areas are affected.

BC Hydro reports 4,676 customers have been without power since 10:45 Friday evening.

There is no estimated time of when power will be restored.
