Tourism Vernon’s presence on the Internet has been recognized.
The city has received a Gold MarCom Award in Tourism for its tourism website.
“Changes in technology and how visitors use their mobile devices to search and access destination information, made it crucial for Tourism Vernon to develop a new website that was fully mobile-friendly and responsive,” said Ange Chew, tourism manager.
“The site now showcases Vernon as a vibrant four season destination with a diversity of activities to appeal to families and friends both domestically and internationally.”
The MarCom Awards are an international competition that recognizes creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
MarCom Award winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. This year’s competition included 300 categories in print, web, video and strategic communications.
