Traffic delays set for Okanagan Landing Road

Crews will install a drainage pipe on Vernon road Thursday and Friday

Motorists should expect some delays on a busy Vernon route Thursday and Friday.

Contractors for City of Vernon will install a drainage pipe across Okanagan Landing Road, near Okanagan Avenue, as part of a flood protection project.

“The project will result in delays to local traffic, with single-lane alternating traffic on Okanagan Landing Road,” said Mark Dowhaniuk, the city’s infrastructure engineer.

Motorists are asked to obey construction signage, flag person’s directions and posted speed limits through construction zones.
