Indulge in a delicious Blizzard to raise funds for kids in need on Thursday.
Dairy Queen is hosting the 9th annual Canadian DQ Miracle Treat Day to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.
During Miracle Treat Day, the Dairy Queen on 32nd Street will donate proceeds from every Blizzard sold to B.C. Children’s Hospital, a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for Canadian children’s hospitals.
The Vernon Dairy Queen has been a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network since 2003.
“Miracle Treat Day has become an event that the entire community looks forward to,” said Sheldon Aldrich, owner of the Vernon Dairy Queen.
“It is our pleasure to partner with Children’s Miracle Network. We encourage everyone to come out on (Thursday) and help us raise funds for the kids in need.”
Last year on Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queens throughout Canada raised $2.2 million, with all proceeds going to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in respective local communities.
Dairy Queen will serve up a variety of Blizzard flavour treats during Miracle Treat Day, including the new Caramel Toffee Cookie Blizzard, the featured Blizzard of the month for August.
