Three people were taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital following a two-car accident north of Enderby Sunday.

Police were called to the 6400 block of Highway 97A, near Salt Road, shortly after 12:30 p.m. to a report of a collision between two pickups.

“The investigation revealed that a 1989 northbound Chevy truck was attempting to turn into a driveway when it crossed into the path of a southbound 2002 GMC,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.

The two people in the Chevy, a man and a woman, were not wearing their seatbelts and the woman passenger was ejected from the vehicle. Both were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the GMC was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
