Two people received minor injuries after a semi collided with a pickup truck on Highway 1 in Salmon Arm.

The collision occurred around 7:55 p.m. at the Trans-Canada Highway and 30th Street intersection on Wednesday, July 12. Staff Sgt. West said police are speaking to witnesses and looking to obtain dash cam footage from the semi involved in the collision.

A light standard was damaged in the incident and Salmon Arm Fire Department firefighters were called to the scene to help contain a spill of fluids from the damaged vehicles.

“The two occupants of the pickup were shaken up and suffered minor injuries and the driver of the semi truck was uninjured,” said West.
