City of Vernon crews will be upgrading utilities along a portion of 24th Avenue this week.
Starting as early as 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, a section of 24th Avenue between 34A Street and 39th Street will be accessible for local traffic only. All other traffic will have to take a brief detour around the area.
The work is anticipated to be complete by 3:30 p.m. the following day, though the timelines may change if emergencies arise.
Some delays should be expected for motorists in the area; however, every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.
The city appreciates everyone’s patience while the work is being completed.
