Valley Auction helps volunteer

Valley Auction Ltd. will host a barbecue and auction Friday, with all proceeds going to volunteer Bobby Marshall

Bobby Marshall has always helped Valley Auction Ltd.

Now it’s the Spallumcheen company’s turn to help Marshall, whose house on Hullcar Road was completely destroyed in a fire on the morning of July 15.

Valley Auction Ltd. will host a barbecue and auction Friday, with all proceeds going to Marshall.

“Bobby has been a longtime volunteer with us and he’s such a great guy,” said Peter Raffan of Valley Auction Ltd.

A barbecue beef on a bun dinner will begin at 5 p.m. followed by an auction of donated items at 7 p.m.

Marshall lost everything in the fire. A cause of the blaze had not been determined by press time.

If you can’t make the fundraiser but want to help online, Marshall’s daughter Cassidy has started an account on GoFundMe.com (type Cassidy Marshall in the search engine).
