A new community facility is available for Vernon residents.
The city unveiled the Lakers Clubhouse on Cummins Road Tuesday.
“I’m really happy to see that this clubhouse is better meeting the needs of communities and families,” said Community Development Minister Bill Bennett, who attended the ceremony.
The structure recently had new acoustics and flooring installed while a children’s climbing structure has been put into place outside.
The total project cost was $94,400, with $74,400 coming from the provincial government.
A number of activities have already been held at the clubhouse.
