A Vernon man was taken to hospital after being stabbed Monday.
Officers attended Polson Park at about 9:30 p.m. and located a 44-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was immediately transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
"He underwent surgery and is currently in serious but stable condition," said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.
Following up on a lead, officers arrested a 35-year-old Vernon suspect at a separate location.
The investigation continues and anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Part of Vernon's Polson Park is currently closed because of a police investigation.
RCMP received a report of an altercation between two men in the park just before midnight Monday.
One of the individuals was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with injuries while the other individual is in custody.
