Vernon RCMP and the coroner continue to investigate the discovery of a body at a Vernon school yard Monday.
The body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found in the yard at Okanagan Landing Elementary shortly before 8:30 a.m.
RCMP have ruled out foul play in the death.
The school was locked down Monday morning as a precautionary measure. Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said at no point were any students in any danger.
“The school was locked down to protect the children from going outside and seeing the body,” said Molendyk. “We’re dealing with elementary school children.”
