Vernon residents are being warned to keep their vehicles locked.

As of Tuesday morning, there had been 10 cases of vehicles broken into.

“Don’t leave valuables inside vehicles and keep your doors locked,” said Cpl. J.R. Leckie, with the Vernon detachment.

Among the items being taken are cell phones and wallets.

“If you leave your wallet and it’s taken, your credit card can get used around town,” said Leckie.
