A Vernon man is expected to face charges of impaired driving following a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning.

Vernon RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 97 near the Vernon Army Camp at 5:45 a.m.

“The lone occupant of the 1995 Mazda was a 24-year-old from Vernon,” said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk. “He was suffering from injuries to his face and possible back injuries.”

Molendyk said it also appeared the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
