Vernon workers ratify contract

There is labour peace at Vernon’s fire hall.

The City of Vernon and the International Association of Firefighters Association have reached a new collective agreement.

The city and the union agreed to a three-year settlement that addresses enhancement to pensions and overtime costs.

According to a press release from both parties, these terms are in line with other municipal settlements in the province.
