Two North Okanagan communities are getting a financial boost.
The provincial government is distributing $17.3 million in compensation for municipal property taxes to 56 communities around the province.
Among them $3,735 for Lumby and $101,427 for Vernon.
Grants-in-lieu of property taxes are distributed every November and reimburse municipalities for services that benefited government properties, such as municipally run sewers, roads and fire protection.
