Water quality advisory lifted on the Kalamalka Lake source in Oyama

District says the addition of ultraviolet disinfection has enhanced the safety of the drinking water

The District of Lake Country has lifted the water quality advisory on the  Kalamalka Lake source in Oyama.

The Kalamalka interconnect project has added ultraviolet treatment serving as a primary disinfection step in addition to the chlorination process.

“The addition of ultraviolet disinfection has enhanced the safety of the drinking water,” said Greg Buchholz, operations manager.
