The Regional District of Central Okanagan is about to begin its fall water main flushing program.

The work is scheduled to take place during the first two weeks of November affecting customers of the Killiney Beach water system.

Environmental services staff will be flushing mains between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Later in November, flushing is also scheduled for the Sunset Ranch and Falcon Ridge water systems.

Roadside notice boards will be in place in advance of work being done in various areas of each water system. It is important to flush water mains on a regular basis to ensure optimum water quality and remove any sediment deposits that may accumulate over time.

Customers will find more information about the regional district water main flushing program on the water systems’ webpage www.regionaldistrict.com/water. They can also subscribe to receive any important advisories or information regarding their water system directly to their e-mail inbox.
