A West Kelowna winery is thanking the public for its concern and support after a woman allegedly stole the belongings of several foreign workers.

Quail’s Gate Estate Winery commented on a Facebook post about the incident to confirm the theft did happen on July 11.

A resident claimed to see a woman taking rain gear and backpacks of those working in the vineyard.

The winery says it’s in the process of replacing the stolen items. New protocols will be implemented in the near future in hopes of preventing this from happening again.

A spokesperson for the winery said a police report is being made.
