Authorities are warning North Okanagan residents that the wildfire threat could increase.
A ridge of high pressure is forecasted to build over the region starting today (Tuesday) and will bring hot and dry conditions.
"The B.C. Wildfire Service would like to remind the public to be vigilant with fire use as forest fuels will continue to dry out this week," said Melissa Klassen, fire information officer.
"Currently, the fire danger rating through the region is moderate with areas of high."
Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 24 Tuesday, 27 Wednesday and 26 Thursday, with no precipitation expected.

Firefighters remain on scene at the Bear Creek fire on Westside Road.
Due to the hard work of firefighters, the Bear Creek Wildfire was 60 per cent contained and 52 hectares in size as of Monday night.
