Notice is hereby given that City of Vernon Council is considering initial readings of the following Zoning Amendment Bylaw pursuant to the Local Government Act:

Pursuant to s. 24 of the Community Charter, Public Notice is hereby given of the City of Vernon’s intent to extend the repayment deadline for the O’Keefe Ranch & Interior Heritage Society interest-free loan of $70,000, and all outstanding insurance premiums totaling $112,653, from December 31, 2022 to March 31, 2023, interest free. The interest-free loan of $70,000 was originally authorized at the October 15, 2019 Regular Meeting of Council.

Notice is hereby given that City Council will hold a Public Hearing to hear representations of interested persons or persons who deem their interest in property affected by the below-mentioned bylaw at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 3400 - 30th Street, Vernon, B.C.:

Residents are reminded that they are responsible for shoveling snow on the sidewalk adjacent to their residence or business.

An open house has been scheduled for the public to view the OCP amendment application OCP00098. The proposal is to amend the OCP land use designations at 2702 and 2800 40th Street from ‘Residential Small Lot’ to ‘Public and Institutional’ in order to expand and upgrade an existing seniors residential care facility.

Be advised that pursuant to section 127 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the 2023 Committee of the Whole meetings are held at 8:40 am and the Regular Council Meetings of the Council for the City of Vernon are held at 1:30 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall on the following dates:
