Notice is hereby given that Splatsin is officially requesting input into the replacement Woodlot Licence Plan (WLP) for Woodlot 0338, which is situated in and around Salmon Valley, Rose Swanson and Sowsap Creek. This plan replaces the existing WLP which expired in October 2024. Alternative practice requirements for greater retention of trees in a riparian management zones and alternate stocking standards and variances are proposed in the plan.
The plan covers the entire Woodlot Licence operating areas and outlines the resource values and management strategies. The WLP is consistent with the Okanagan Shuswap land and Resource Management Plan and the Forest and Range Practices Act.
Please note that this referral process does not include the review of specific block and road locations. A 60-day opportunity for review and comment of the draft plan will be provided from December 5, 2024, to February 4, 2025. For more information contact Crystal Wilson
