Adrienne Dorothy Ouellet
February 17th, 1941 – September 24th, 2006
Dorothy passed away early Sunday morning,
September 24th, 2006 at the age of 65 years after a lengthy and very courgeous battle with cancer.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Robert,
to whom she was married for 47 years, her daughters; Renae Grahame of Vernon, B.C. and Deb Ouellet of Vancouver, B.C., her grandchildren; Carleigh Grahame of Edmonton, Alberta, Haileigh Grahame and Matthew Grahame of Vernon, B.C. and her brother, Robert Biblow of 150 Mile House, B.C. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Gerry Biblow and her parents, George & Ann Biblow, all of Vernon, B.C.
Dorothy was born and grew up in Vernon where she spent her years raising her own family. She was passionate about reading, collecting glass and pottery and going on great long walks. She had a wonderful appreciation for the beauty of nature and animals and loved spending time in her garden, especially the sunflower patch. Dorothy had a thoughtful kindness that turned simple gestures into extraordinary gifts. Her attention to detail
and the little things in life endeared her to all she knew. Her vibrant spirit, tremendous strength and courage were an inspiration to her friends and family; she had the ability to listen and comfort when needed and a quick wit that turned difficult situations into times to be remembered and laughed about. Dorothy developed many strong friendships throughout her lifetime and had a true devotion to her family. She has touched all of us in ways that have made us better for having known her.
Dorothy’s friends and relatives are invited to an Open House Tea to celebrate her life on Saturday, September 30th, 2006 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Ouellet family home at 2304-22nd Street, Vernon, B.C. Those wishing to do so may send donations in memory of Dorothy to the Vernon & District Hospice Society,
3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
The family would sincerely like to thank the
staff and volunteers at Hospice House for their
outstanding care and compassion shown to Dorothy
and her family throughout this difficult time.
