Aidan Crawshaw-VanderWal

August 3, 1995 – October 24, 2019
It is with broken hearts that the family of Aidan announces his sudden passing at the age of 24, as the result of a tragic accident October 24 2019.
Aidan loved the outdoors, reflected in his work at Predator and especially in his lifty job at Silver Star, that he was so stoked to be going back to. Snow and skate boarding along with music were his passions. He was an amazing young man in so many ways. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. Although his passing has taken pieces of our hearts, the spirit of his energy and light will continue to live on in all of us. Our lives will never be the same, because of you and also without you Aidan. We lost a bright light, however we’ve gained a unique and steadfast guardian.
He leaves behind his loving Dad, Justin VanderWal, beloved sister Maddie, loving Mom Mary Jean Crawshaw, caring grandparents Sandi, Hans, Laurie and Terry, as well as many cherished friends.
Aidan was predeceased by Rob McCutcheon (Poppa), good friend Luc and recently by his special friend Julie.
“It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love, or how you love, it matters only that you love” John Lennon
“Only to learn upon death
That all that matters in life
Is to love, laugh, and shine our light brightly!”
excerpt from Anita Moorjani’s book, What If This Is Heaven?
Which is exactly how Aidan lived his brief but spectacular life.
