Al’s love of fishing had him going on many different waters. He was proud to reel in many big, big fish. Last while, he loved his hobby of fixing broken fishing rods. He has now gone to try the more gentle waters way up; up on the other side.
Al survived melanoma cancer in 1986. He gave a good fight to mesothelioma asbestos cancer of the lung, but it was just too tough.
Al was born on May 30th, 1933 at Cetekovac, Croatia. He came to Canada in 1958 and soon after learned the art of repairing huge and small electric motors.
He leaves behind his wife, Margaret, daughter, Lauren of Calgary, nephew, Gordie Hucman (Sandy) of Penticton, niece, Margaret of Calgary, a sister and brother and their families in Croatia.
A special thank you to Charles Samuel, a true friend who was always there to support Al from day one. Also, thank you to Dr. Philp and Dr. Hardy.
