Alexander "Larry" Lawrence Laboucane

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Lawrence Laboucane on February 12th, 2017 in Armstrong, BC. He was the son of Philemon Cardinal and Patrice Laboucane of Lac La Biche, AB. Larry had a passion for music and doing the “Red River Jig”. He enjoyed playing the fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. Larry was an extremely proud Metis-trapper and hunter, who loved the outdoors. A well-rounded family man, who enjoyed bouncing and dancing his grandchildren on his knee. He was an acclaimed builder, counsellor, soldier and Legion member. Larry is survived by his children; Robert Patrick, Dennis Alexander, Ace Lawrence, Judith Faye, Rex Brent, Dallas Margaret and Honor Louise, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Elsie Margaret (Peggy) McMurray to whom he was married for 55 years. There will be a service held for Larry at 1:00pm on May 20th, 2017 at Coldstream Meadows Church. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, BC.
