Alfred (Alf) Danielson was born on February 16th, 1916 in Belvedere, Alberta and passed away on November 30th, 2008 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 92 years, with family members by his side.
Alf will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters, Shirley (Harvey) Pickering of Calgary, Alberta, Louise (Roland) Wheaton of Cochrane, Alberta, Lorna (Ben Sagh) Linster of Enderby, B.C. and Bobbie Danielson of Lavington, B.C.; four grandchildren, Traci (Gord) Berkhold, Tara (Mike) Trofimuk, Philip Wheaton and Ryan (Laudy) Linster; four great-grandchildren, Aidan, Bryer, Toryn and Nya; his sister-in-law, Eliza Westlake of Kelowna, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cherished friends, Rita Hein and her late husband, Ernie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Alice Danielson; one son-in-law, Richard Linster; two brothers, Charlie and John Danielson; and three sisters, Sophie Danielson, Augusta Clarkson and Hilda Christensen.
Alf served his country during World War II. He worked in the oil fields in the Turner Valley, Camrose and Calgary areas for some forty years. When he retired in 1980, he, Clara and Bobbie moved to Oliver, B.C. and then in 1992 to Vernon, B.C.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Church Of God, 6161 Pleasant Valley Road, on Saturday, December 6th, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
