Alice was born in Mossbank Sask. but spent her married years in Vernon B.C.
Alice spent many hours donating her time and efforts to local groups. She was an active member of the Lavington Work Group and a volunteer quilter for the Canadian Mental Health Association. She sewed ‘hats’ and comforts for the cancer patients, blankets and pillows for the SPCA animals and blankets, afghans and mitts for the homeless. The crib board was always on the table and a dollar in the jar for the winner.
In 2003 she moved to Rockglen Sask to be closer to her family. She spent her days sewing, quilting and enjoyed a good game of crib. Funeral Mass will be held in Rockglen at 2:00 p.m. Friday September 14th. Private family interment in the Coldsteam Cemetery on September 28 2007 followed by a Celebration of her Life in the Coldstream Woman’s Institute Hall 1:00 to 3:00p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements in care of Ross Funeral Home, Assiniboia. Sask.
