Alice Dorothy Rozander

(1919 – 2014)

Alice Dorothy Rozander (nee Starchuk) passed away peacefully on May 17, 2014 with daughter, Bonnie, and niece, Barbara Overend, at her side.

Born April 11, 1919 in Smoky Lake, AB, Alice resided in Vernon since her marriage in 1942. She was predeceased by husband Robert, parents Mike and Rose, sisters, Elsie, Doris, Mary, Kay and Vera and brothers, Peter, Alex, Fred and John.

She is survived by daughter Bonnie and son Ron (Marilyn); grandchildren Karen (Kevin) Robbins, Rebecca Rozander and Jason Rozander; great grandchildren Alex (Kim), Kenton (Ashley), Chris (Sharlie), Sheldon and Jasper and great, great grandchildren, Parker, Ashton, Sterling and Blake. She is also survived by sisters Ollie (Herb) Johnson and Lucille (Jim) Plain and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom passed with no regrets. She expressed that she experienced more in her lifetime than she ever thought possible. She always looked on the bright side and her cup overflowed with love. She will be missed.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at VJH 3North for their care during Mom’s extended stay in hospital; she appreciated your sensitivity and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 5 at All Saints Anglican Church in Vernon.

In lieu of flowers a donation in remembrance of Mom can be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
