January 20, 1947 - December 13, 2018
It's with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alison Margaret Ward (Howes), beloved wife, sister, mum, and Granny. She is survived by her husband Garry, sister Janice, son Ian, daughter Jenni, granddaughters Sydne and Abigail, grandsons Tyson, Spencer, Nash, Jakob, Kyan and Westin, and her fur baby Papi. Alison was always up for finding adventures whether local or afar. Lover of art, nature, and creating, she showed numerous pieces at the local art exhibit, each new creation portraying her curiosity and skill. She found inspiration from riding her motorcycle, through many breathtaking landscapes, a passion of hers for years. Her garden was another passion of her life, leaving family members and close friends in awe. She created a magical oasis where many visitors came to sit and revel in the beauty. A courageous, loving, and humorous woman loved by many. Forever missed, but always in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2019 at the Fintry Provincial Park, Fintry B.C. @ 1:00 pm. Please contact Jenni for more details. In lieu of flowers, etc. we ask that you please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
