Born Alma Bertha Kuttnick, April 18, 1926 in Shellmouth, Manitoba, eldest of 13. Alma went Home to be with her Heavenly Father on December 23, 2013 in Riverview Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Winnipeg, surrounded by her loving children. Left to cherish her memory are her 3 children: Herbert (Diane) Nickolizen of Winnipeg; Marjorie (Dan) Vetrov of Grand Forks, BC; Judy Nigro of Edmonton, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn 3 siblings (Eric Kuttnick of Ft. McMurray, Julie Schultz of Creston; Eleanor Goertzen of Calgary) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 2nd daughter, Beatrice Ehrstien of Lumby in 2011; husband, Ed Bischler (1981), first husband, John Nickolizen (1967); and by 9 siblings.
Alma enjoyed activities in her church (Vernon Full Gospel) and at her residence (Sunnyvale), where she was known to lend a helping hand. She touched lives with her loving smiles and gentle ways. She will be missed by all who knew her.
