Mrs. Alma Weidman was born on February 4th, 1920 near Biggar, Saskatchewan and was called Home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at the age of 86 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Joan (Bruce) Buck of Calgary, Alberta, Edward (Mildred) Weidman of Sicamous, B.C. and Wayne (Catriona) Weidman of Sidney, B.C., six grandchildren; Craig (Mary Ann), Mark, Todd, Cynthia (Erik), Barbara and Debbie (Dan), three great-grandaughters; Jessica, Abigail and Annaliese and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Weidman on January 7th, 1999, five brothers; Emil, August, Adolf, Bill and Edward and five sisters; Olga, Helen, Martha, Pauline and Della. Alma was a resident of the Vernon and Lumby area since 1936 and was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church. Those wishing to pay their last respects to Alma may do so at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 26th, 2007 from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Saturday, January 27th, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Schulz officiating.
