On Sunday, January 7, 2018 Amelia Reid was welcomed into heaven at the age of 89.
Amelia was born on November 18, 1928 in Pine River, Manitoba to the late Todosij and Petrunela Weselowski. On August 8, 1952, she married Bud Reid in Pine River Manitoba. Their first child (Linda) was born in Vancouver, BC in 1956. Their 2nd child (Barry) came along in 1963 also in Vancouver. They moved to Vernon in the summer of 1971.
Amelia leaves to mourn, her husband Bud of 65 years, her children Linda of Vernon, Barry (Donna) of Victoria; grandchildren Mandy (Gord) of Chilliwack, Marnie (Chris) of Vernon; great-grandchildren Tage, Riley and Skylar; sisters Cassie of Vernon and Pauline of Winnipeg; son-in-law Rod of Vernon, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her brother Bill, Mike, Hellar, Joe, and sisters Johanna, Caroline and Mary.
Amelia's kitchen always overflowed with delicious meals. She loved to entertain and have dinner parties. Everyone knows her specialty was perogies!
A private family service was held.
