Andrew James Anderson
passed away Sunday, Sept 2 2007 in Noric House at the age of 88. He was born April 12, 1919 in Calgary, Alberta, was predeceased by his daughter Valerie 1944 and is survived by his only sister, Ann Currie and his younger brother Archie Anderson.
Andrew lived in Vernon for the last 26 years, He was a dedicated family man & is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Alexa, daughters Beverley McWhinney (Rollie), Linda Weller (Klaus), grandchildren Brian Milligen (Wendy), Michael McWhinney (Corinne), Shannon McWhinney (Albert), Bob Milligen, (Kelly) & great grand children, Travis Milligen, Matthew Butterworth, Carson Milligen, Andrew & Aidan McWhinney.
Andrew served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1938-1946, & was an electrical contractor, involved in the building of the Foothills Hospital in Calgary.
He loved animals, walking, fishing & fixing all & everything, but most of all he loved Alexa.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 22 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Noric House & Alexander Wing for all the care & kindness. in Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. or Noric House.
