April 14, 1936 - July 12, 2018
Anette was born Rosengren in Gothenburg, Sweden, but lived most of her childhood and adolescence in Stockholm, where she received her upbringing and schooling. She went on to study dentistry there and graduated in 1961. The same year, she married Birger whom she met in Dental School.

Together they moved North to Umea, a university city in Northern Sweden. She loved working with children and also volunteered in Community Health centers to educate young mothers how best to care for teeth and health for the very young.

Within a few years, two sons came along, Torbjorn and Torsten, during which time Anette was mostly at home, loving and caring for them.

In 1977, the family somewhat adventurously moved as immigrants to Canada, and established themselves in Quesnel, B.C. Once arrived, there was no turning back. Cross-country skiing was natural, and joining the local ski club took our family to several distant, enjoyable destinations in the wilderness.

After four years in Quesnel, both Anette and her husband became Christians after having the Bible gospel explained. It was a life changing transformation of our value systems, and it brought us to new dear, unforgettable fellowships.

1994 was retirement season for Anette and her husband. The boys were no longer at home so the next destination was Sidney, Vancouver Island. Anette took interest in the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, and for several years she led school classes around and taught different subjects as a docent. By that time Alzheimer's disease started to affect her to the point that we needed to move closer to family in Vernon where Torbjorn now lived with his wife Kim and son Erik.

Her life got complicated these days but her faith and hope never failed her. She had one burning desire the last several years:  to be released from her failing body and to enter the heavenly home, standing before her Lord with a new perfect body.

She did so last Thursday at four in the afternoon. She is finally home!
