Apr 7, 1927 - Apr 25, 2018
It is with sad hearts, and yet also with joy, that we announce that Anne has departed this life to begin a new, eternal life with her Heavenly Father.

Anne was married to Albert Geistlinger (who died May 1974), and Leonard Wolgram (who died May 2016).

Anne will be missed by her children, Gord, Don (Jen), Joanne and Cindy (Ken); Len's children, Mark (Rae Ann), Ken (Terry) and Peter (Dianne); 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doreen and Gladys (Len); one brother, Raymond (Betty); brother-in-law, Harold (Margaret); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Anne was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Barb Geistlinger in July 2017 as well as her siblings, Eleanor, Edna and Reinie.

Anne was born in Greenwald, Manitoba, moving to Vernon in 1935 where she remained until her death. She always had an infectious smile on her face and a happy outlook on life. She was involved in many aspects of ministry at St. John's Lutheran Church. Her particular passion was singing in the choir. Anne spent many hours volunteering at the Pro Life Thrift Shop - every Wednesday was her work day. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she would gladly babysit at a moments notice.

Anne was well known for her exceptional gardening skills and would often supply the most beautiful flowers for Sunday Services and to anyone who would ask. Likewise, she generously shared the bounty from her delicious vegetable garden as well, and if you were lucky, she might just share a recipe or two with you. Anne was well known in the family as the resident hairdresser - using her self taught skills, she gladly cut and permed many heads of hair. She enjoyed travelling with Len, and looked forward with great expectation to the annual camping weekends at Mara Lake where she thoroughly enjoyed fellowship with family and friends, sharing stories and giving out free hugs to the kids.

Anne had a great love for her Lord and Saviour Jesus and would gladly share the Good News with all. Right up to the end, Anne continued to sing hymns and listen to scripture being read by family and friends. Her eyes would light up every time at the name of Jesus and was truly looking forward to being with Him.

A private family Graveside Service will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Service at Bethel Funeral Chapel at 11:30 A.M. with Pastor Craig Tufts officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Anne to the St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 5151 Alain Road, Vernon, B.C. V1B 3K6.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Screen, Anne's long-time family doctor. To the exceptional staff, at both Creekside Landing and Carrington Place, for all their loving care and compassion, and for treating Mom like family - we thank you.

Funeral arrangements have been made with BETHEL FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5 250-542-1187
