ANNE SIEMENS, age 81 years, passed away peacefully at Noric House, Vernon, on Thursday, September 9, 2004. Anne will be lovingly remembered by husband Henry of Vernon; daughters Cheryl (Bruce) Eckhoff of Winfield and Julie Siemens of Falkland; son Craig (Eva) Siemens of North Vancouver; grandchildren Laurel (Kevin), Anne, Kristian, Kristofer and Anna; brother Eric (Hilda) Richardson of Leader, Sask; sister-in-law Rose Richardson of Edmonton; extended family and friends. Henry and Anne were married August 17, 1954 at Vancouver and resided at Hope until moving to Vernon in 1964. In 1968 they moved to Armstrong, where they operated the Hub Confectionary. Anne also worked at One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaners for a time. From 1987 to 1998 they lived in Tappen then back to Vernon. Anne had been a resident of Noric House for the past five years. She belonged to the UCW, enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, skiing and sewing. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2004, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Vernon. Reverend Ed Milne officiating. Interment at Armstrong Spallumcheen Cemetery preceded the service. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or Noric House.
