Ann was born and raised at Sugar Lake, B.C. and had a lifelong love for the forest, flowers and birds. During WWII she moved to Vernon, married a soldier by the name of Colin Vardon and together raised a family of three children. Ann worked for many years at the Dolf Brown Packing House and in the mid 1960s and 1970s she was a loving Mom to many foster children. She loved her yard and garden, and she enjoyed square dancing, oil painting and writing poetry. She had a book of her poetry published as well as a book about her younger years at Sugar Lake. She was a very special lady and we all miss her.

Cremation preceded a private Graveside Service which was held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Ann to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Foundation, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 9M9.
