February 27, 1920 – August 16, 2010
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Lipicki on Monday, August 16, 2010. Annie passed away peacefully with loving family by her side. She will be remembered always and missed by her son Barry (Linda) Lipiski; her daughter Elsie (Gerry) Winchester; her sister Mary Kogler; her granddaughters Charmagne (Pat) McKenna, Chelsee (Trevor Huculak) Lipiski, Tanya (Colin Henderson) Winchester, Renee (James) Vink; her grandson Lance (Miriam) Lipiski; her six great-grandchildren Tully, Parker, Keifer, Caitriona, Rowan and Luke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lipicki in 1993, her brother Peter Matlock, and her sister Polly Czepil. Annie was born in Hazel Dell, SK on February 27, 1920. Annie and Joseph settled in Grindrod BC in 1946, where they raised their family. They moved to Enderby in the late 1970s. Annie was an active member of T.O.P.S. for 35 years. Annie enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking, and spending time with her family. Funeral Service will take place Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (Hwy 97A, Enderby BC). Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (#4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9). The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Scott and her family Dr. Annan. Thanks to the nursing staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital 3rd floor West for taking such good care of our mother.
