Anthony Silkin


It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony (Tony) Pavlovich Silkin, announces his sudden passing. He left us to be with the Lord on June 25, 2006 at the age of 64. He was a gentle loving soul who always put the needs of others before his own, a devoted husband and loving father. He will be greatly missed by his wife Svetlana, his children Larissa, Milla and Peter, his step-children Slava, Evelyn and Eric, his 3 grandchildren Maeve, Ava and Evan, 5 step-grandchildren Nicole, Dominic, Nathan, Victoria and Shantel, his sister Nina, brother Peter, nieces, nephews and relatives. He is predeceased by his father, mother, two brothers, and son David. He was born in Kuldja Sinkiang, China on January 5, 1942. His family immigrated to Australia and later to Canada in 1971. He lived in London, ON, Calgary, AB, Vernon B.C., and the B.C. Lower Mainland. He worked tirelessly building a successful construction company Tony’s Drywall and Acoustics, based in Maple Ridge B.C. He loved to laugh, travel, fish and golf. Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 5:00 P.M. at Broadway Church 2700 East Broadway, Vancouver B.C. The family requests all attending, to bring your favourite photo of Tony and your family to be included in a memory board. The imprint of a father remains forever on the heart of the child.
