1927 – 2011
Passed away December 1, 2011. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 24 years, Alice Cooper and blended family: His sons Valmar (Jane) Calgary, Richard Trail, Bryan (Sharon) Vernon, Scott (Kim) Crofton, her daughter Leslee, Roberts Creek, son Michael (Leslie) Parksville, their 12 grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Marianna, Revelstoke, sister-in-law Fran, Kelowna, Marie, Revelstoke and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bruno and Maria, brothers Victor, John and Vincent. Tony was born in Palizzi, Marina Italy on May 23, 1927 and emigrated with his family to join their father in Revelstoke, BC in 1929. Tony worked for CP Rail for 43 years retiring in 1986 as a locomotive engineer. Tony and Alice moved to Vernon in 1989 where he enjoyed many years of skiing and golfing. The family would like to thank the many people who supported us through the last few years and heartful appreciation for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Tony in the last four years by the caregivers and staff at Heritage Square. A funeral service will be held December 10 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Tony may do so to a charity of their choice.
