Archie John (Slim) Robertson

Mr. Archie John (Slim) Robertson was called Home to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta (Rita), to whom he was married for 43 years, two daughters; Deanna (Lavern) Kellsey and Nadine (Lorne) Christensen, one son; Paul (Jennie) Robertson, six grandchildren; Cassandra, Christa, Noah, Hannah, Joshua and Brianne, his sister; Ruth Thompson, his brothers-in-law; Bert (Marj) Hude, Don (Dee) Hude, Norman Hude, Lorne Hude and Jock Efird and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by one brother, Edward and one sister, Doris Efird. Archie was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 13th, 1924. He actively served overseas during World War II for four years. Archie met Loretta Hude in Edmonton, Alberta, where she became his wife on February 24th, 1962. Archie worked as a Heavy Duty Mechanic for many years and retired in the late 1980’s. He then had time to enjoy his ever growing family. Archie will be remembered for his quick sense of humor, his grateful appreciation of family and the awe he had of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Funeral Service was held at the Pleasant Valley Church Of God on Thursday, January 5th, 2006 with Reverend Lonnie Nulph officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
